Views from the Anglican Cathedral

Views from the top of Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral bell tower are spectacular.

Below you can see images of the city of Liverpool with the River Mersey, Wirral Penninsula and Irish Sea in the background. You can also see the Roman Catholic Cathedral at the other end of Hope Street, Goodison Park and Anfield (Everton FC’s and Liverpool FC’s famous stadiums) and the red cranes of the Port of Liverpool:

River of Light 2016

A few shots from last weekend’s River of Light event jointly organised by Wirral Borough Council and Liverpool City Council to celebrate the UK tradition of “Bonfire Night” on the 5th November. Not sure if they will do this again…..it wasn’t overly successful. In my opinion if you’re going to advertise something as the “River of Light” you better make sure you light up the river! So for me the organisers get 10/10 for ambition and effort, but 5/10 for execution:
