Views from the Anglican Cathedral

Views from the top of Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral bell tower are spectacular.

Below you can see images of the city of Liverpool with the River Mersey, Wirral Penninsula and Irish Sea in the background. You can also see the Roman Catholic Cathedral at the other end of Hope Street, Goodison Park and Anfield (Everton FC’s and Liverpool FC’s famous stadiums) and the red cranes of the Port of Liverpool:

Rhosneigr Windsurfers

It’s not hard to see why Rhosneigr on the beautiful west coast of Anglesey in North Wales is popular with windsurfers and other water-sport enthusiasts……..it’s exposed beach is windswept and the surf impressive:

A Stroll Along The Beach

I like this simple shot, but I can’t help feeling that it would have been better had I pressed the shutter button a few seconds earlier, to get more of the couple’s reflection in the water:

Given the circumstances (shooting straight into the sun; from a low angle and with lots of reflected light) I think the lens has coped pretty well with the flare….in fact I think what there is adds something to the atmosphere of the shot:
