“A Rose By Any Other Name….”

Seems appropriate to quote a bit of Shakespeare, after all these two Rose shots were taken at the Elizabethan Manor of Harvington Hall:

Rose, Shakespeare, Elizabethan, Harvington Hall, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England

Rose, Shakespeare, Elizabethan, Harvington Hall, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England

Two very different styles of shot, the second having had the contrast boosted and the colour de-saturated to enhance the texture and the moodiness in the sky.

Just wanted to apologise for my tardiness of late in following all your posts. We are in the process of buying a new house and we have been a bit pre-occupied with admin and organising things for the big move in a little over 3 weeks. Hopefully things will calm down a bit in a month or two and then normal service will be resumed…..:0).

Harvington Hall

Harvington Hall near Kidderminster, Worcestershire is an Elizabethan moated manor house dating mainly back to the 1580’s. It contains an ingenious series of “priest holes” – secret hiding places for members of the Catholic clergy trying to avoid persecution, torture and even execution in Elizabeth I’s Protestant England:
