I love the expression on the riders face in the first image below…..concentration and determination through gritted teeth:
By the time I took this shot the rain was starting to fall, hence the reason why I’ve gone with a dark; de-saturated, contrasty treatment with the post processing:

A couple of shots simply depicting competitors galloping along the course………there is usually quite a bit of ground to cover between the obstacles at a cross-country horse trials and the whole course can easily cover a few miles:

The first in a series of shots from the British Eventing Horse Trials held at Somerford Park in August 2013:
No real reason why I haven’t got round to posting these till now……..I guess I just took too many shots last year to get through them all at the time. It is quite useful though, holding some images back to post during the winter months, as new material tends to be a little thin on the ground for me at this time of year. That isn’t to say that I don’t have some new work in the pipeline, but I want to clear some of my 2013 backlog first.
