Longleat House & Grounds
Although Longleat is perhaps most famous for it’s safari park which opened in 1966, the magnificent Elizabethan house and grounds has been the home of the Thynn (or Thynne family) for nearly 500 years.
Widely regarded as one of the finest examples of an Elizabethan stately home in the country, it has been the seat of the Marquess’s of Bath since Thomas Thynne rose to that position in 1789.
Below are a few shots of the house and grounds:

Lovely Mark ! I guess those gardens are beginning now to look rather gorgeous with Spring planting … it’s a place that really lends itself to grounds and architectural elements .
Bet you can’t wait to get out and about again with your camera . All the best in these times .
Thanks Poppy. Yes getting out with the camera would be good, although I have plenty of existing shots to work on. Just too busy with work at the moment so don’t really have the time or inclination. Hope you are OK – take care
I can well imagine with your job Mark , working at utmost capacity I’m sure
Yes thanks all good so far, and hoping to keep it that way close to home and for one or 2 *vulnerable friends . Keep safe x
