Streets of Rome 4

The symbol of Rome for the past 2,000 years, SPQR stands for “Senātus Populusque Rōmānus”, which roughly translates as the “The Senate and People of Rome”. You’ll see this stamped, carved and sculpted on a whole host of municipal buildings and objects throughout the city today……if I remember correctly this example is from a lampost:
