Divinely beautiful birds.. the red shades in reflections look really cool and seagulls are a nice detail on a picture. I guess these are seagulls or am I wrong? 😄
Hi, these were all taken with my Olympus OMD EM1 Mk2 and 300mm F4 Lens. Settings for the first two were F4, 1/250th sec, ISO 1000. For the last one the settings were the same apart from ISO 1250. Note on my crop sensor Olympus the 300mm is a 600mm full frame equivalent. The F4 acts as an F4 in speed terms, but F8 in DoF. Hope that helps.
Nope that makes a lot of sense :p I was trying to figure out the compression amount in the background for the amount of detail. I absolutely love it. I just got a 40mp full frame (I know full frames aren’t optimal when you need that extra distance). I’m not a huge fan of teleconverters but a 1.7x II with a 2.8 300mm works out pretty decently. I havnt had the chance to use both together yet so I look forward t making my first go count. Thanks for the insight 🙂
That’s OK glad it was useful. I doubt that the debate over FF vs Crop systems will ever go away – pros and cons to each. There are two many variables and the fact is different systems excel in different areas – the personal circumstances of the photographer being the ultimate deciding factor – shooting style, subject matter and budget 😊

I completely agree. At a certain point just enjoy what you are doing 🙂 I primarily shoot portraits so full frame will be my go to for budget reasons
