Outer Hebrides – Flora & Fauna – 6

I was beginning to worry that I wouldn’t get an opportunity to photograph any Red Deer on the Outer Hebrides. It wasn’t until our second week that I saw them close enough to get any decent shots….and that was with my new 100-400mm lens (which is 200-800mm full-frame equivalent using the Panasonic G80 micro 4/3rds camera). This is the first of a few Red Deer shots that I’m going to post:

Fabulous capture, Mark. I love the light on his antlers and how nice that he posed in a field of white flowers for you. 🙂

It was a dull cloudy day, but with just enough light to catch the antlers. The “flowers” are actually like a cotton grass – it grew all over the Island.
