There’s a proper cheeky one who keeps stealing from my bird feeders and pretends to be a garden ornament every time I catch him out π The hilarity of it wouldn’t actually translate through photography!
The one in the photo does the same in our garden….the birds don’t get a look-in sometimes. He/she also buries his nuts in our plant pots, often knocking over the small ones and generally making a mess π
Oh how wonderful! I know they do well over on Anglesey π Brownsea is quite a small island so I think it’s much easier to get photographs of them there! I haven’t seen one since I was last in Scotland about 10yrs ago and couldn’t get anywhere near enough to photograph it. It’s wonderful that we’re managing to create a few safe havens for them again π

They’re specialists in garden destruction!! They make me laugh though so generally get away with it all π
Same here…….and they are very photogenic π
Oh yes indeed! I do long to get down to Brownsea Island to photograph the beautiful red squirrels though π
We have red squirrels quite close to us at Formby Point…..I have seen them but never got a photo π
