Balmoral Estate

A few shots from around the Balmoral Estate, including the Purchase Cairn (so-called because it commemorates the purchase of the estate by Queen Victoria in 1852), a couple of images looking towards Lochnagar Mountain, a Song Thrush and Crathie Church, where the Royal Family attend service:

Oh it is indeed! The thrush family are a firm favourite of mine for their beauty, songs and character πŸ™‚ I am hoping to get to Brownsea Island sometime to look for the red squirrels!!
