When we visited the small harbour village of Johnshaven in Aberdeenshire, there was a light sea-mist hanging over the coast, hence the lack of definition in the skies below:
My great-grandfather lived at 2 Shore Head ie/ on the harbour and had his own fishing boat but I think he then was at Gourdon. I am related to the Ritchie, Blues and Fotheringham families.

One of those places where time seems to stand still or at the least move very slowly. I’m glad that I’m jogging a few good childhood memories 😊

Well it’s a lovely part of the world to grow up in……but a tough life as a fisherman
