For my last post from Lucca, here are a few shots from the largely 14th/15th century St Martin’s Cathedral. It may not be as grand or famous as the Duomo’s of Florence or Pisa, but it is still very impressive nevertheless:
Stunning! The starry sky reminds me a bit of the Giotto’s work in the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua (which also makes up the seat decoration on the trams in Padua!)
Great angles which show off the art of these wonderful buildlings! I just noticed….at least with this post you have 16 tags+categories. Not sure if you know this but if you post more than 15 Tags+categories, your blog will not show up in the reader.

I visited Lucca last spring. Great place. Nice photos!
Thanks
Lovely shots Mark – looks like you had a great time in Italy.
Incredible Mark! 🙂
Fabulous photos once again. I especially like the one of the statue seen through the fretwork.
Thanks Laura…..that’s one of my favourites too 😊
Transcendent!!!
the artistry is so incredible!

Not been to Padua, but sounds as if I should add it to the bucket list 😊
Great photos 🙂 I was just in Siena this summer too, it was incredible!
It is beautiful…..but I hope you had better weather than we did 😊

Thanks Laura…..no I didn’t know that, but I’ll certainly watch that in future 😊
I’m hoping that’s why I’m missing you. You’re welcome!
