Arguably the most interesting of the four buildings situated in Pisa’s Piazza dei Miracoliis the Camposanto: a massive walled cemetery that is supposed to contain earth from Calvary (the site outside Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified) shipped to Pisa during the Crusades:
