Greve in Chianti

The Chianti region is split between the provinces of Florence (the Chianti Fiorentino) and Siena (Chianti Senese). In the former, the main town is Greve in Chianti. We only spent a couple of hours here, mainly to have lunch in the picturesque main square:

    It looks lovely there. Your photos really convey the shapes in the architecture and the relationships between buildings and the plaza. I love Italy and long to explore more of the country, see more regions. Your photos are giving me itchy feet.
