Jaipur City Palace
The sandstone “pink city” of Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan, was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II. At its centre sits the City Palace (built between 1728 and 1732) surrounded by its impressive high wall;

I especially love the monochrome photo of the columns. The repeating pattern and the contrast between light and shade is fabulous and the monochrome really brings out the texture in the carving of the columns.
