Given the circumstances (shooting straight into the sun; from a low angle and with lots of reflected light) I think the lens has coped pretty well with the flare….in fact I think what there is adds something to the atmosphere of the shot:

    Totally agree, looks great! The worst flare is the green and purple spots shattered around, but none of that here, great job!

    Beautiful! Lovely colours with a great sky and reflections. I also really like the foreground and, you’re right, the flare adds an extra dimension.
