    The mother and child is simply amazing! To think it is carved out of stone, such an inflexible material, to achieve the look of softness of a baby’s face.

    I agree with Lee, but I’m also amazed every time I look at old Cathedral stonework at the sheer magnitude of all this work done by hand. Must have taken a massive team of sculptors or years (or both).
