Plaza de Espana

Seville’s Plaza de Espana was built for the 1929 Exposicion Iberoamericana. It is a magnificent, over-the-top curving sweep of a construction – all decorative brick work, ornate columns and gaudy Sevillian tiles:

Nice to see some of these building details, Mark.
Such an enormous amount of paving. Can you imagine how long it must have taken to construct these courtyards or walkways.

Thanks Callie……I do look for the framing opportunities, I find the results more interesting. It’s not always possible though.

    I haven’t been here – but now feel that I have 🙂
Your photos show both the intimate details and grandeur of the place. Beautifully done Mark!
